We are patching sidewalks, building a wheel chair ramp, and doing a lot of cleaning and fixing up. We are proud of our little church and want it to look good and stand out in our community. Our pastor, Jim Wardrip, has been with us for the past six years as our Minister of Music. He, along with his wife and son, sing and play guitar. When our former pastor, Bro. Jesse Raymer, passed away last September (2008), Jim stepped in to continue having services. In February (2009), the Nazarene District Superintendent approved Jim to be the full time pastor.
Jim came to us from the Southern Baptist Church where he has been a licensed minister since his teen years.
Jim's connection to this church came about while he was in High School and attended a revival here. Pastor Raymer remembered him when the pastor's wife, and only church musician, passed away and asked for Jim's help in providing music for our services. He has been with us ever since.
Jim has been an Emergency Medical Technician, Volunteer Firefighter, and a reserve police officer for a Village in Southeast Ohio. He is an accomplished musician, having played with several Gospel groups around the area. He and his wife are both Amateur Radio Operators and active in storm spotting for the community.
Our Pastor's wife, Kelley, sings with her husband and son Josh. Jim and Kelley have three grown children, Lora (deceased), Marilynn, and Josh. Kelley is a photo lab technician for a local store and is our resident photographer.
